TERMS OF SERVICE
By requesting service from Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC, the customer (“Client”) agrees to the following Terms of Service.
1. Scope of Work
Services provided by Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC include diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and/or installation of residential or commercial appliances as requested by the Client.
Any additional work beyond the original scope must be approved by the Client and may incur additional charges.
2. Installation Conditions & Third-Party Involvement
Quoted installation and repair pricing is based on the conditions present at the time of service and the information provided by the Client.

If a third party (including contractors, builders, homeowners, or other technicians) modifies the installation area or performs additional work before, during, or after our service visit, the originally quoted price remains valid and due unless a written adjustment is agreed upon by Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC.
Third-party completion, modification, or involvement does not reduce or negate the quoted cost of labor already performed and may void any warranty offered by Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC prior to third-party involvement.
Any return visit requested after third-party involvement may be subject to additional labor charges.
3. Estimates & Diagnostic Fees
The standard diagnostic fee is $99.00, plus applicable tax.
The diagnostic fee is earned upon arrival and inspection and is non-refundable.
At the discretion of the technician, the diagnostic fee may be reduced or waived.
The diagnostic fee may be increased to an appropriate amount when the repair consists solely of labor, requires no return visit, and no parts are needed.
When the Client authorizes Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC to perform the quoted repair, the diagnostic fee will be applied toward the total cost of the repair.
If the Client declines the repair quote, the Client remains responsible for at least the diagnostic fee.
4. Payment Terms
The diagnostic fee is the minimum payment required at the time of the first service visit.
Upon acceptance of a repair estimate, the Client agrees to pay either the cost of required parts or fifty percent (50%) of the total repair cost, whichever is greater, during the first visit.
The remaining balance is due in full upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods include cash, check, credit/debit card, or electronic payment.
Returned Payments / Failed Transactions
If a check, ACH draft, credit/debit transaction, or other form of payment is returned, declined, reversed, or fails to process for any reason, the Client agrees to provide an alternative valid form of payment within five (5) business days of notice.
The Client shall be responsible for any bank fees, returned check fees, processing fees, administrative costs, or chargeback fees incurred by Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC as a result of the failed payment, to the extent permitted by North Carolina law.
Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC reserves the right to require certified funds, cash, or credit/debit card payment for any future services following a returned or failed payment.
Failure to timely replace a returned payment may result in late fees, suspension of warranty coverage, collection action, and/or legal remedies as permitted by North Carolina law.
Any unpaid balance may be subject to late fees, collection costs, and legal action as permitted by North Carolina law.
5. Parts & Special Orders
Special-order parts may require prepayment.
Once parts are ordered, they cannot be returned or refunded, except where required by manufacturer policy.
Lead times are estimates only and not guaranteed.
6. Warranty & Limitations
Labor performed by Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC is warranted for ninety (90) days from the date of service.
All parts warranties are strictly subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions.
Warranty does not cover:
Misuse, neglect, abuse, or improper operation
Pre-existing conditions
Power surges, water damage, pest damage, or normal wear and tear
Work performed, altered, or repaired by others after service
Warranty coverage may be suspended or voided if payment obligations are not satisfied in full.
7. No Guarantee of Appliance Life
Appliance repair may extend the life of an appliance but does not guarantee future performance. Older or heavily worn appliances may fail again even after repair. Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC makes no guarantee regarding appliance longevity.
8. Access, Safety & Customer Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
Provide safe, unobstructed access to the appliance and necessary utilities
Ensure the work area is clear and reasonably accessible
Keep children and pets away from the service area during service
A responsible adult, eighteen (18) years of age or older, capable of making decisions regarding the service, must be present at the service location during the entire appointment.
For safety reasons, technicians may wear protective footwear during service. Shoe covers will be used when available. If footwear removal is requested and agreed to, the Client assumes responsibility for any unsafe conditions that may result in bodily injury to the technician.
Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC reserves the right to refuse, stop, cancel, or reschedule service due to unsafe, unsanitary, or hazardous conditions.
9. Property Damage
Reasonable care will be taken during service. However, the Client acknowledges that appliance repair may involve risks including hidden defects, brittle materials, or concealed damage. Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions.
10. Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Clients are requested to provide reasonable notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Missed appointments or failure to provide access may result in a service or trip fee.
If service is canceled or rescheduled due to unsafe or unsanitary conditions, Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC may charge a fee of up to fifty percent (50%) of the diagnostic fee.
11. Collections, Attorney Fees & Costs
In the event an account becomes delinquent, the Client agrees to pay all reasonable collection costs, including attorney fees, court costs, filing fees, and collection agency fees, to the extent permitted by North Carolina law. Any partial payments may be applied first to fees and costs, then to principal.
12. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
The Client agrees not to initiate a chargeback without first contacting Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC to attempt resolution.
Chargebacks for valid, completed services may be disputed. The Client shall be responsible for any chargeback fees, administrative costs, or losses incurred due to unauthorized or bad-faith disputes.
13. Lien Rights
To the extent permitted under North Carolina law, Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC reserves the right to file a mechanic’s or materialman’s lien for unpaid labor, services, or materials provided, where applicable.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina law, Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of food, loss of use, or inconvenience. Liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the service rendered.
15. Privacy
Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC respects Client privacy. Customer contact information and service history may be stored securely in company dispatching software. Payment card information is not stored by the company.
16. Right to Modify Terms
Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. The version in effect at the time of service shall apply.
17. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, with venue proper in Sanford, North Carolina, where applicable.
18. Acceptance of Terms
Hiring Good Neighbor Appliance, LLC constitutes full acceptance of these Terms of Service.
