Our home base is in Sanford, NC and we service many of the surrounding areas. We typically will accept calls within a 30-40 minute drive from Sanford. As business permits, we hope to expand further up in to Raleigh/Durham and down in to Fayetteville as well. Think you are outside of our service area, ask us, we may very well swing by anyway.
We service a wide range of household appliances, including but not limited to: Dishwashers, Washing machines, Dryers, Ovens, Stoves, Cooktops, and Microwaves.
At present we do not service refrigerators, freezers, or icemakers.
We strive to provide prompt service to our customers. In most cases, we can schedule a repair appointment within 24-48 hours of your initial contact.
Typically, if your appliance is less than 10 years old and the repair cost is less than half the price of a new appliance, repair is usually the more economical choice. Our technicians can assess the condition of your appliance and provide expert advice tailored to your situation.
Yup, at present these are the extra services we offer.
- We can do a Deep Clean of the lint on the inside of your Dryers.
Dryers really do lose a lot of lint inside and can definitely be a fire hazard. - We can clean out your Dryer Duct work.
- Ask us about combining the Dryer Deep Clean, Dryer Duct Cleaning and our Dryer Maintenance Agreement in to a bundle for a bit of a discount.
- We can clean out the condenser coils on your Refrigerators, Freezers, Deep Freezers.
- We can do a disinfectant cleaning maintenance on your ice makers as well.
Icemakers tend to be forgotten in terms of maintenance and can harbor a ton of mold and bacteria if not cleaned regularly.

April 17, 2024As I was buying a drier repair for someone from out of town, I wanted to make certain I found the right small business as I had nothing to go on but Google reviews and some intution. While contractor services who help you find a vendor can be helpful, I opted to look for something more direct and right away found the name, Good Neighbor Appliance, a very appealing and old school idea so decided to give it a whirl. Owner, Patrick, was very responsive, courteous and in the end went beyond the call of duty in terms of making a fairly simple repair not seem overly complicated or expensive. It was one of those broken things that one can sort of live with, but falls through the cracks and seemed to never get done, so finally it is, and making life a whole lot simpler!

Excellent service! My dryer suddenly stopped having hot air. Patrick figured out the problem, explained everything he needed to do thoroughly and fixed it like a champ. He also cleaned the duct out completely. He was very nice and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Patrick was very professional in his assessment and his advice on what to do about our dryer. He was very punctual and flexible with our schedule. He repaired the dryer with the correct parts and with ease and at a reasonable price. After reassembling, he noticed a noise, and dissembled the dryer to take care of it. With in an hour of my inital call Patrick came by to do an estimate and two days later he came out to replace the vent. 2 hours later he had replaced the vent, cleaned out the outside flap, and installed my dryer. The best part was he charged a lot less than I expected. It was great working with someone who lives in the area and I didn't have to pay extra for someone to drive to Sanford to fix my dryer vent. Highly recommend him. He will give you his honest recommendation and will charge a fair amount! I will definitely be giving in a call for any future dryer or appliance issues.

Went under the house to remove the dryer exhaust blockage quickly and completely. Patrick was here (next day) when he was scheduled and came back quickly after getting the necessary parts. For over a year my washing machine was vibrating and bouncing all over the place when it would spin the water out. So many times I would have to hold it to keep it from vibrating. When I moved it to where I live now I was hoping it was the floor and it would run right but no it was worse. My sister recommended Good Neighbor Appliance and Patrick came out to look at it. He wasn’t here and looked at it but for about 5 minutes and knew exactly what it was. He was going to order the parts but he went to Fuquay-Varina the next day and stopped in the parts store and picked them up. He came over shortly after he got the parts and those were exactly the parts my washer needed. It took him about an hour to get them on and it worked like a charm. August 23, 2022Sears came out to our house and was trying to charge us $900 for labor and a new element and this man came and did the same thing with labor and a new element on top of doing a thorough cleaning of the inside of our dryer ridding it of all the lint in addition to going around the back of the house and cleaning all of the lint from there as well!! I doubt sears would have done any of that for the price they were charging!! I would highly recommend him to anyone and will definitely be using him for any washer/dryer needs in the future!!!
